The first time Iylah saw Josiah she kept asking to give him "mimi" (her blanket). With her eyes wide open, she kept reaching out to touch him. Unfortunatly she was not allowed to touch him at the other hospital (only parents are allowed to touch the baby). Since we have moved she loves to touch his hair and hands. She is always concerned about "baby" (her name for Josiah) saying he needs mimi or milk or that he needs to suck his thumb. Whatever makes her happy, she thinks should make him happy too. The other day she set her baby doll down and told the doll to stay and then said bye. It broke my heart when she said bye to her doll because she is just copying what she sees us do with Josiah. It is sad that saying bye is what she associates with a baby. On a lighter note... the other day Craig and I were watching a CPR video at the hospital. We thought that Iylah was not really paying attention to the boring informational video, however we were wrong. We found her doing CPR on her dolls by violently hitting their chests...oppsy she picks up on everything.
Pray that we will be sensitive to what is going on in Iylah's little mind. Pray that God will show us how to explain things to her. Pray that we will do a good job at including her in Josiah's life even while he is at the hospital. Pray that she will still feel loved even when we are giving so much attention to Josiah.

That is so precious, and she is such a sweet big sister. You must be so proud her!
