Adorable Josiah

Josiah now has glasses! They look so cute on him, but he has yet to get used to wearing them. He doesn't like them at all right now. He is so small we had to get the newborn size for him! The glasses are bendable plastic so we can form them to his face. The ophthalmologist said babies like them as teething toys. They won't break!

At his cardiology appointment this week he weighed 11 lbs 1 oz!!!!! I am thrilled. This has been the greatest amount of weight gain he has had since tube feeds! His heart is still the same so it looks like we will do the testes surgery first (we were originally waiting to fix his heart first but it is stable so we will go head with the other surgery). I am planning on December for that surgery. We will finalize everything at our appointment with urology in September. As far as his heart goes we will continue to monitor it. There are risks to surgery (of course) so there is no reason to go ahead and repair his heart if it is not causing problems because then we could be opening a door to other possible issues.
