Heart procedure on MONDAY!

Today we scheduled a heart catheterization for Josiah this coming Monday, Dec. 7th. This is not open heart surgery, in fact, his doctor doesn't even consider it surgery. They will get to is heart through a vein in his leg. Here they will measure the exact strain that his pulmonary valve stenosis is putting on his heart. Then they may stick a balloon in the valve attempting to expand it (depending on what they see when they examine his heart through the cath). The cardiologist suggested having this heart procedure done sooner than his testes surgery because knowing the exact pressure in his heart before going through the urology surgery will help the anesthesiologist. And if they find the pressure is higher than expected they will postpone the urology procedure and fix his heart first (which most likely would be an open heart surgery).

Pray for a quick recovery on Monday!!!
I am very nervous, but I do have more peace about going to the hospital again. Pray for continued peace for me and Craig. The more I think about it, the more anxiety I have. I began typing this blog with steady hands and now I am shaking and tears are falling. The reality of going back to the hospital is beginning to set in again. We might be staying over night depending on what they do during the procedure. Josiah is just doing so well right now and his 1st birthday is just around the corner. Pray for strength in my little baby boy. Pray for little Iylah through all this. Pray for wisdom and steady hands for our doctor doing the procedure.

Thank You for the prayers!!
Cherie
